Our Beginning

When DB Electrical started in 1981, no one could have imagined how it would have grown. We were a small starter and alternator rebuild shop in Kingsport, Tennessee. While doing repairs in the shop, the guys decided to stock a few automotive parts for local do-it-yourselfers. Soon more and more people stopped by to ask for parts, and the number of items the shop carried quickly grew. Customers knew they could count on getting quality parts at a fair price. That was a lesson learned early that carries on to this day. When the internet arrived, DB Electrical seized the opportunity to bring its value to customers nationwide and beyond.

Our Product Range

As noted previously, we started as a shop to repair starters and alternators. When we started selling products, we specialized almost exclusively in electrical components, as our name with the word “electrical” would suggest. We became a trusted and reliable source for alternators, starters, solenoids, voltage regulators, ignition coils and more. While electrical components remain a significant part of the business, DB Electrical offers so much more. Today we also offer mechanical parts, accessories and supplies for vehicles and equipment.
